Development of dating techniques at Tono Geoscience Center, JAEA

The Tono Geoscience Center at Japan Atomic Energy Agency promotes development of advanced radiometric dating methods as part of research and development on geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste and uses research facilities that include accelerator mass spectrometer and a radioisotope facility. Analysis instruments including an electron spin resonance spectrometer and an optically stimulated luminescence are used for development of the dating methods with several dating ages and geological samples. In this presentation, I report outline of the development at Toki Geochronology Research Laboratory in the Tono Geoscience Center.
